Egret Advisors is an advisory firm serving the lighting industry at large. Founded by Ted Konnerth, Egret Advisors leverages over 40 years of lighting industry experience, which includes:

More than 20 years of rapid growth within the lighting industry, first as an independent rep and then moving up from sales and marketing to VP of Sales with the responsibility of growing Cooper Lighting globally to over $1 billion in revenue.

Founding Egret Consulting Group and, over the next 18 years, growing it to become the largest executive search firm in the lighting and electrical industry. Ted specialized in retained search for C suite and VP levels, which allowed him to meet with hundreds of CEOs, business owners, and investment firms.

As a managing director with Merrimack Group, a professional mergers and acquisitions consulting firm, Ted was tasked with helping to grow their lighting group vertically. In three short years, he led them through a series of successful sales of lighting OEMs to strategic buyers and private equity investment firms.

About Ted Konnerth, PhD

Ted Konnerth has developed countless professional relationships throughout the lighting and electrical industry. With 40 years of traveling globally, Ted has met almost every influential company in the industry–from the largest lighting manufacturers to the smallest operations.

He has also met leaders of the top 150 electrical distributors, most of the top lighting design firms, and hundreds of lighting rep firm owners. As part of his recruiting activities, Ted placed more than 150 senior-level executives within the industry. His recruiting experience has given him privileged insights into small and medium-sized, privately held companies. Ted has worked exclusively with senior executive roles, typically C-suite and VP levels. Many of those relationships are still intact, and they remain friends today.
